Hi friends! You may have noticed that I’ve been a little MIA this month, but there’s been a LOT going on around here, both blog-wise and life-wise.

On the blog front, you can see that Sweet Maple Lane has a new look! I’ve been working super hard behind the scenes to give the blog a bit of a face lift. I’ve been doing all of it myself (and I really don’t know what I’m doing, haha!), but I’m really loving the way it’s coming together. It’s still a work in progress, but everything seems to be up and running and looking awesome-sauce so far. If you notice any weird stuff happening, help a sister out and shoot me an email!

To celebrate Sweet Maple Lane’s new look, I created a spring-y floral printable to share with you.

Live life in full bloom printable

I just love these watercolor flowers so much! Aren’t they so pretty? This quote, “Live life in full bloom”, is kind of cliche, but it fits so well with some things that are happening in my life. I can’t really go into it all yet, but I’ve been thinking a lot lately about making due with what I’ve got, and making the best of a not so great situation. This quote is really speaking to me at the moment. No matter what happens, or what path is laid out in front of me, I can approach it with joy and give it everything I’ve got. I’m choosing to live my life in full bloom this spring!

Life-wise, we’ve been having an AMAZING April vacation. My husband and I have both been off all week, and the kids have been home from daycare. We’ve done plenty of relaxing, working around the house, and went out and had some fun too! On Friday we took the kids to the Beneski Museum of Natural History at Amherst College, and it was so perfect for my dino-loving three year olds. The museum is right on campus, and they have a ton of dinosaur bones, fossils, and footprints, along with different rocks and crystals and things too. There are two life-size mammoths, a sabertooth cat, and a couple other full skeletons of various prehistoric creatures. They also have a triceratops skull and a t-rex skull. My son, especially, thought it was the coolest thing ever. And the best part? Free admission! It doesn’t get better than that, mamas! Amherst is a wicked cool little city with tons of restaurants and shops, and really walkable, with everything right in the center. If you live in the area, or are visiting, definitely check it out!
